My apologies for my lengthly absence. It seems like only yesterday that I sat down to write down about my summer plans, but the posts do not lie. That was over a month ago. There really is no excuse for the delay in writing, but let me a least offer an explanation of what the end of June and the month of July were filled with.
Work, work, work and more work! I started two new jobs in June (and was crazy enough to train in both of them at the same time!) The first job was as the newest member of the administrative team at the Ontario School of Ballet. Starting there only a week before the end of year show caused for a crazy and eye opening beginning but I earned my wings. I’m looking forward to their upcoming summer school during the month of August and to the first term of the year starting in September.
The second job was a six week contract with the Harbourfront Centre as the director of the French dance camps. This was a pilot project done in collaboration with Collège Boréal and I am happy to say it was a huge success! We had many wonderful campers attending our five French camps as well as some very impressed parents. Personally, I found it to be a very rewarding learning experience. I hope to see the French camps at Harbourfront continue to grow as well as to continue to develop my own relationship with the organization. Stay tuned for hopefully more camp news in the year to come!
Now I am looking forward to (hopefully) a calmer rest of the summer. Maybe some time in the sun? I have just spent three days cleaning and cooking so as to be ready for the month ahead. If nothing else you can expect some yummy recipes in future posts.
