I have spent the last week surrounded by so much talent at the Peggy Baker Dance Intensive. It has been such a pleasure and I am going to walk away with many tasty nuggets of knowledge to mull over for years to come. I am also fortunate enough to get to present some of the material I have been learning on Saturday August 16 as part as Dance Made in Canada’s workshop Light and Shadow. I will be performing with sixteen other dancers in a reworking of Peggy Baker’s piece land | body |breath at the Winchester Street Theatre. The Light and Shadow workshop was looking at how to light for contemporary dance. To help illustrate these ideas, we will be performing land | body | breath at the end and beginning of the evening with two different lighting designs.
