Tomorrow, March 21st, will be my 23rd birthday. Though the number is not one that usually holds much significance, my 23rd years has probably been one of my most eventful ones to date. More changes, challenges, adventures and accomplishments have filled 23 than I could have ever imagined. I started flipping through my calendar from the past 12 months and here are a few memorable moments I came across. It isn’t a complete list, simply a sampling of all the amazing things that have blessed my latest year of life.

Gratefulness Challenge Day 30
And so it all comes to an end! 30 days of gratefulness complete! I’m somewhat sad to see it go. Getting to spend a few hours every day writing about things that are important to me has been really great. There have been moments when I really didn’t feel like doing it, but pushing through and putting the thoughts down on paper has been good. Also walking around every day thinking about what things I wanted to write about has put me in an extra positive mindset. I’m a big believer in positive thinking. I believe that we see what we are looking for and I have noticed how the simple shift of thought towards gratefulness has impacted my perspective and my ability to tackle the everyday challenges. Even though the Gratefulness Challenge writing is over, I hope the outlook it has caused me to adopt is something I can carry forward.
Gratefulness Challenge Day 18
What a great start to the week! I love a good busy Monday filled with a mix of personal, professional, artistic and social events. Not even sure how all that fits into one day, but it did! Makes me even more excited to continue posting my Gratefulness Challenge over the rest of the week.
1. Productivity: So you know those lists I was mentioning yesterday? I got to check so many things off of them today! Such a great feeling when the number of things on my to-do list has dropped without ten more being added on. My head feels clearer, I feel calmer and my day today looks promising. I didn’t even feel bad when I stopped working early and watched TV for a little while last night. I even got a few things done that never even made it on my list. I’m sure that in no time my to do list will have become pages long once again, but getting a handle on things at the beginning of the week gives me so much drive to continue being this productive in the days to come instead of waisting time lazing around at home. What a great start to the week.
Gratefulness Challenge Day 6
I felt a little ADD with today’s post. I kept picking three things, beginning to write and then changing my mind and starting again. I kept asking myself “Is that really something I’m GRATEFUL for?” Because there are tons of things I like or that make me happy or that are important to me, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I am grateful for them. Hmmmm I think there’s a larger question in that statement to do with priorities… I’ll save that thought for another post on another day. Onwards with the Gratefulness Challenge!
1. Being able to problem solve: A few days ago I was trying to get some footage of mine off of a DVD, today I was trying to use basic HTML code without any knowledge about the system at all. I was able to solve both problems all on my own and it felt great! Ok sure google helped a bit, but I still had to do the reading and figure out how to make it work.
