Tomorrow, March 21st, will be my 23rd birthday. Though the number is not one that usually holds much significance, my 23rd years has probably been one of my most eventful ones to date. More changes, challenges, adventures and accomplishments have filled 23 than I could have ever imagined. I started flipping through my calendar from the past 12 months and here are a few memorable moments I came across. It isn’t a complete list, simply a sampling of all the amazing things that have blessed my latest year of life.

Gratefulness Challenges Days 23 and 24
My oh my! I can’t believe that I missed a day of my Gratefulness Challenge! Sometimes the day takes a turn that you just weren’t planning and there isn’t a whole lot you can do about it. With Valentine’s Day and then Family Day today in Ontario the week just caught me off guard a little more than expected. Hence the need for this double bill of a gratefulness post.
1. Determination: The past five days have been, to say the least, hard and I still have a few tough days left to get through. Some mornings I have woken up and all I wanted to do was roll over and fall back asleep. Some nights I would be heading out wondering why I couldn’t just be heading home. I haven’t really stopped much this week and it hasn’t been easy but it has brought many rewards. Sometimes you just have to get through stuff and push your body further than you ever have before.
Gratefulness Challenge Day 19
Hump day already? How did that happen? Not that Wednesday is really the middle of the week for me, but it does still seem momentous whenever I get there. This Wednesday is even more momentous because today I am almost 2/3 of the way through my Gratefulness Challenge! I’m extra excited about tomorrow’s milestone because I have yet to loose steam or inspiration. I actually have a second list going of things I haven’t had a chance to write about yet. Maybe I will have to share that with you at the end if it is still full.
1. Teaching: Over the years I have taught dance to people of all ages and experience levels. Sometimes teaching can drive me crazy. Students are hard because they don’t always want to be learning. It makes my job as a teacher really impossible. But being a teacher is as much a learning opportunity for me as it is for them.
Gratefulness Challenge Day 8
Yesterday was a day filled with talking. Specifically to some of the people that I hold nearest and dearest to my heart. These interactions were the inspiration for the 3 things I chose to write about today for my Gratefulness Challenge. There is no better inspiration for anything in life than the people you care about the most.
1. Timeless friendships: In my life I have lived in eight different homes, three different cities and have friends living all over the world. On top of that I also live a fairly busy life and tend to be friends with people with similarly busy schedules. It’s hard to find time to keep as in touch with people as I would like and though I do my best sometimes our meetings are spread far apart throughout the year.
