Gratefulness Challenge Day 19

Hump day already? How did that happen? Not that Wednesday is really the middle of the week for me, but it does still seem momentous whenever I get there. This Wednesday is even more momentous because today I am almost 2/3 of the way through my Gratefulness Challenge! I’m extra excited about tomorrow’s milestone because I have yet to loose steam or inspiration. I actually have a second list going of things I haven’t had a chance to write about yet. Maybe I will have to share that with you at the end if it is still full.

1. Teaching: Over the years I have taught dance to people of all ages and experience levels. Sometimes teaching can drive me crazy. Students are hard because they don’t always want to be learning. It makes my job as a teacher really impossible. But being a teacher is as much a learning opportunity for me as it is for them.

Gratefulness Challenge Day 15

I have officially made it to the half way point of my Gratefulness Challenge! I have spoken about so many things over the past fifteen days and there is still so much left to say. I think the best part so far is realizing just how much I have to be grateful for. It is also neat how the moment you put even the smallest bit of energy into thinking about something you suddenly start looking at things in an entirely new light without meaning to. The power of positive thinking at its finest.

1. Athletic Edge Sports Medicine: I have been going to AESM for over two years now and I absolutely love the place. Founder Dr. Grant Lum is a phenomenal sports and performing arts medicine doctor and his team of physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, osteopaths, acupuncturists, sports psychologists, dieticians and trainers are all top notch. Walking in to their clinic is always so soothing.

Gratefulness Challenge Day 12

What a Tuesday! Lots of catching up from taking Monday off, but worth the extra busy day. It was great to actually venture out of the house after hiding away for 24 hours. Also caused the things I chose to talk about today for my Gratefulness Challenge to be more related to the outside world and how I choose to interact with it than yesterday, which was much more focused on internal appreciation.

1. Options: The reason I decided to write about options is because I think I began and then deleted a description of about five different things while writing todays post. This made me think of just how many options we have in life. Not only do I have a plethora of things to be thankful for from the past 24 hours (that in itself is pretty phenomenal) but I also have billions of other options presented to me on a daily basis.

The 30 Day Gratefulness Challenge

So I’m the kind of person that loves to be busy. When my calendar looks like a rainbow has spewed its beautiful colours across the pages I am a happy camper. Because the only thing that I love more than being busy is being organized. Checklists? Built in reminders? Due dates? Sign me up! January though, has not been quite as busy as I had hopped.

And here is what I realized: without a busy schedule my ability to organize becomes negligent to say the least. When  there are huge gaps of time all over my week that 10am workout suddenly gets pushed to 1opm and then to the next day until suddenly it disappears. Now this would all be fine and dandy if I was the kind of person that felt complete laying on the couch all day, but the reality is I don’t.
