presented by random acts of dance and conceived/directed by Candice Irwin, Your Dance Fest is a new community oriented dance festival in the heart of Toronto’s St. Clair West neighbourhood. What makes it different than other dance events is that the programming was chosen by non-dancer community curators. This audience-focused festival boasts performances, talks, workshops, prizes, and parties – something for every viewer!
Dates: September 8th-9th, 2017
Location: Calgary, Calgary Alberta
Candice has been invited to create and present a new work at the 35th Annual Alberta Dance Festival, presented by Dancers’ Studio West. Human Landscapes is inspired by the work of visual artist Wanda Koop and examines the relationship between human beings and our environment. With artists Alison Keery, Roxanne Korpan and Amanda Pye, Candice is questioning how we cannot survive without the environments we are destroying, yet those environments could thrive without us.
